Leslie Jill Hanson has been practicing architecture for 12 years. In 2002 she established her firm focusing on arts, educational and residential projects.
Her practice is evolving from
residential additions & combinations to cultural projects such as exhibition design for the
Museo de Picasso, Malaga; the Museum of African
Culture; Portland Maine & a new school,
& teacher housing in the village of Ntulya,
Tanzania.
Prior to beginning her own practice she worked at Tod Williams, Billie Tsien on such rare &
gratifying National Award-winning projects
as Cranbrook Natatorium, American Museum of Folk Art
& Long Island Residence. There, she deepened her knowledge of
new construction & large scale project management.
Just after completing graduate school & having won
the Thesis Prize she chose to work for Richard
Gluckman because of her deep interest in art. There She was instrumental in award-winning projects such
as the Paula Cooper & Mary Boone Galleries. |
